You’re sick of the exhaustion and the headaches that cause you to opt for your bed instead of the gym. You’re sick of having an irregular cycle that varies each month for no rhyme or reason. And you sure as hell are sick of the heavy flow and hot mess that comes along with it.

You want to stop the mood swings, the unpredictable PMS and the cravings that leave you feeling like you don’t want to do anything but stuff your face with chocolate.

You’re starting to accept this is just how it’s going to be. And I don’t blame you, because I’ve been there.

But here’s the good news: this is NOT how it has to be.

You don’t have to suffer through endless amounts of bloating and cramps. You don’t have to be exhausted or fatigued. You don’t have to feel like you’re moving through guacamole while lifting on your period. Your cycle CAN be regular and not a hot mess each month. And you don’t have to stuff your face with chocolate (unless of course you want to).

Your period can be regular every month. You can still have energy while menstruating and you can put an end to the cravings and mood swings.

I’ve had periods from hell. The pain from the cramps was ER pain worthy causing me to alternate between hot and cold flashes and left me in bed all day (because I physically had no other choice). My heavy flow had me going through super tampons every hour the first few days. My food cravings (read chocolate and anything salty) were out of control. I dealt with this for years. I lost count of the different types of birth control I tried - multiple pills, the ring, the IUD. None of it worked. In fact, they all made it worse. I finally swore off birth control, knowing there had to be a better way. And I discovered there is.

Using lab work to test your reproductive hormones (throughout the entire month, not just one day) and map out your specific hormonal pattern throughout your menstrual cycle, I can uncover the reason behind your PMS.

PMS is caused by hormone imbalances (despite your gyno never telling you that, or testing your hormones) and you can balance them. You don’t have to impatiently wait until you hit postmenopause or contemplate ripping out your uterus in the mean time.

I’ve been a feminist for as long as I can remember. As a small child I thought it was unfair men were allowed to walk around shirtless and women weren’t (still pissed about that 20 years later FYI). So it’s pretty fitting I dedicated my life’s work to helping other women.

After spending over half a decade working in the fitness industry I realized my true passion wasn’t just to help women get physically stronger, but to get mentally and emotionally stronger. I believe physical strength radiates into all aspects of our lives - through powerlifting I’ve learned to love my body and have developed a self-confidence I never thought possible. But I also believe when we have more knowledge about our own bodies and can take control of our own health we gain a confidence unlike any other. Plus, when we have more knowledge about our bodies and how they work we can spend less time on the couch due to PMS and more time in the gym. We aren’t tiny men. And we shouldn’t be treated as such.

But I’ve also had my fair share of health struggles. I’ve had periods from hell, fatigue, digestive issues, the list goes on. And after years of not being able to find a doctor who could help me and treat me like a human with feelings I decided to take my health into my own hands. I became a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner and learned how to balance hormones naturally. My certification as an FDN Practitioner allows me to use lab work so we can get to the root cause of your PMS (and not just guess and hope we get lucky).

When I’m not geeking out over hormones and the female body you can find me religiously reading my horoscope and charging my crystal collection in the full moon light, making, drinking or thinking about coffee, eating chocolate in bed (it tastes a lot better there, I swear), lifting weights or blaring Kesha’s ‘Woman’ on repeat (because I’m a motherfucking woman and proud of it).
